Another late summer afternoon in the small artist residency town of Kalbe in Saxony-Anhalt in 2020. Scholarship holders with diverse backgrounds meet each other. Ruben takes the chance to exchange some ideas.
In a backyard, a small garage, she meets Lucia Diego from Colombia a Weimar art student and Tania-Maria Sternberg (Leipzig). She says about her work: „In my work I deal with movement, power, bodies and their fusion processes. Political, ecological and feminist aspects are inherent in my works.“
Lucia adds: „As an artist I feel the responsibility to share these memories“.
Since the work of both artists deals with political issues, Ruben asks Tania and Lucia about their attitude towards art & politics.
